Divorce
At Moran Kelley, we understand that divorce is a high-stress and emotional event in our clients’ lives. It is our priority to take on the burden of achieving the best legal result for our client regarding issues of property division, spousal maintenance, child support, and any other issue that may arise from a client’s unique situation.
Child Custody
When a couple with minor children decides to divorce, important decisions need to be made about the futures of the children. During a divorce proceeding, the parents need a temporary parenting plan to outline issues regarding the custody of their children. A temporary Parenting Plan, and later, a court-ordered permanent Parenting Plan, establishes the physical and legal custody of each parent. Physical (or residential) custody refers to the amount of time each child spends with a parent and on what schedule. Legal custody refers to the decision-making abilities of each parent. At Moran Kelley, we understand that disputes about child custody are unique to each family, and there is no “one size fits all” approach to establishing a Parenting Plan. If you are considering divorce, call us so you can ensure the best future for your children and family.
